Hi, my name is Mandy, I’m 33 years old. I’m from Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. I’ve struggled with weight since I was a teenager, but it didn’t really become an issue until I was in my twenties. I’ve done diets and various forms of fasting before with success, but I never stuck to it due to lack of support from friends and family.
My husband found a video on YouTube of Rachel Sharp and she had a structured alternate day fasting lifestyle that seemed like a really good fit for me, and he sent the video to me. I’ve had success already so far, and the support from friends and family has been really great this time around!
I don’t plan to vlog about my experiences, because I don’t really want that YouTube life (I don’t think I could sit there and edit videos of myself), but I thought blogging about it might help other people learn about this lifestyle and maybe help inspire people to get healthy.
I’m a Desktop Support Admin, so I do tend to get up and about through my work building, but it’s mostly a sedentary lifestyle. I plan to start a workout routine once I reach 165 pounds, but until then my calorie plan is based on sitting my butt down all day. Haha
I have a husband and a son that I enjoy cooking for. Baking is my specialty, but I try not to do it too often. I’m pretty much a hermit though, I don’t really do very much that’s exciting. I play Final Fantasy XIV, mostly to decorate housing, and I enjoy reading novels. That’s about it! 🙂 Thank you for visiting and I hope you get some good recipes!
